Hi, I bought the Mainstays 4-Slice...
- - Mainstays 4-Slice Toaster stopped working on half the unit.
- - Warranty path via Walmart leads to a Chinese platform with no clear solution or reply.
Hi, i put 1 because 0 is not possible as their customer service is just not existing (if any). I bought the Mainstays 4-Slice Toaster Black with 6 Shade Settings and Removable Crumb Tray in October 2025 at my local Walmart in ***.
Half of the product does not work anymore since last week. Looking at the ratings on Walmart website, this issue seems to be quite usual for this product... Clicking on the link present in the warranty section of the product on Walmart website, I reach a chinese platform and do not see a clear path to solve my problem.
I decided to write to Mainstays through PissedConsumer and just got the information Mainstays read but decided not to answer to my email and concern... I will NEVER buy a Mainstays product anymore.

I need a screw driver
I can't use my brand new deep fryer I have never used I would like to talk to customer service so please call me back
- Keeps my kitchen from getting hot
- It cooks fast if i ever use it

I was to buy a new lid. Don't buy from me mainstay.
All I got was an automated voice and didn't get my problem solved I tried see if it will be free at no cost or how much to replace it

these jars NEVER seal im constantly having to change the flats with another brand and reseal!!dont buy this brand theyre not worth the money or the time

Giving a review I’m trying to get my cake pan replaced
Im calling because my 8 inch cake pan I went to wash it today and all the peeling is coming off the coating on it. I got it at *** in *** MS 38821.
- Reasonable price and they do usually do a good job
- May have difficulties in the coding they put on their bakeware

Purchased 2 sets of MainStay gray curtains. The package states a pair, 2 grommet panels; however, when I got home and opened both packages, there was only 1 curtain.

Cannot use toaster the way it's designed
Your AI agent wouldn't connect live agent buy a different product. Dials are ill designed, not well marked and you can't talk to anyone with Mainstay!!?

Misleading
I was told in a chat that to speak to a technician I had to pay a $5 refundable fee. That that was weird, but I did it.
Then I was informed I had also signed up for a $65 monthly membership fee. I of course cancelled, but this is a scam

- - Pineapple corer’s teeth are dull and won’t cut the core.
- - The idea is approved; they want an improved version sent free, not a refund.
Dear Team at ***, Finally, I found an email form to describe the uselessness of the Mainstays gadget I bought at a discount grocery store. Meaning that others agree with me about the uselessness of the pineapple corer/Eplucheur a' ananas.
It's teeth are too dull to cut through the core of the fruit.
I applaud the idea, but how to sharpen the teeth?

The mainstays mini fridge is junk. Went through 2 in 9 months.
They both quit cooling. Then ended up losing $16 on the refund.

I had a fire with a deepfryer
I turned it on to heat up I took a shower and I got out I heard the breaker kick I came out and the fryer was on fire it was burning around the temperature knob s falme I grabbed the hot peace out and threw in the sink I burned my hand and called the fire department smoke was coming out the wall and now my microwave is shorted out I have pictures

Product carelessness
- - Concerns over careless assembly and missing parts.
- - Lamp shipped to Walmart with incomplete parts.
- - Customer requests drug screenings for employees.
I would like to know how your workers can be so oblivious and so stupid at their job that they would forget to correctly piece together a lamp and then ship it to a Walmart store for the public to buy, only to come home and realize that all the pieces aren't there because your workers are careless and incompetent. I request drug screenings for all of your employees. When customers can't even buy products and ensure that all the pieces and components are properly assembled, that's a major issue.

- - The seat fails from the start and moves.
- - One hinge is crooked and the slow-close leaks.
We bought this seat in May 2025 from Walmart, and from the time I bought it, it was failing. It moves, and the foot of the seat slides off the porcelain toilet, and it has been annoying ever since I installed.
The one hinge was clearly crooked, but I didn't want to waste the $25, so I continued to use it, but over time, that slippage has caused the hydraulic fluid that allows for the slow close feature to start leaking out. I have pictures, but it doesn't look like I can post them here... Toilet seats with slow close feature should not fail immediately.
I meant to contact sooner, but did not know how to contact mainstays. $25 is a lot for a toilet seat, and for it to immediately fail is bad.
Wanted to reach out because this particular issue has been driving me crazy ever since I installed it.

User's recommendation: Don't fall for this false advertising. Spend money on a metal pineapple corer, and not a plastic one. At least not this plastic one.
